About Us
The science, standards, and clinical logic behind how our food is formulated.
Pharmaceutical-grade standards
True care begins with precision. Every formulation is developed using clinical nutrition principles, measured inputs, and documented processes. Pharmaceutical-grade discipline, applied to fresh food.
University-validated research
Nutrition should be grounded in evidence, not assumption. Our formulation decisions are guided by controlled clinical research at Cornell University, where digestive tolerance, palatability, and physiological markers are assessed under standardized conditions.
Small-breed-specific formulation
Small breeds don't simply eat less. They metabolize differently. Faster digestive transit. Higher stool variability. Narrower margins for nutrient error. Our formulations are engineered for their specific physiology, not scaled down from larger breeds.

A letter from our founder
Purely Golden Foods didn't start as a business idea. It started as a practice of paying closer attention. Over time, I became less interested in quick answers and more interested in how bodies actually respond. Slowly. Unevenly. With far more nuance than most systems account for. That shift changed how I think about care, nourishment, and responsibility.
PGF reflects that mindset. We take our time. We measure what matters. We don't rush outcomes or simplify complexity to make something easier to sell. This is food made with respect—for dogs, for their physiology, and for the people who care deeply about doing things right.

The Inputs We Control
Ingredients are selected for function, not trend.
Digestible proteins for amino acid adequacy. Soluble fibers for gut motility. Targeted omega-3s for fatty acid balance. Each component earns its place through formulation architecture and evidence. Nothing is included for marketing appeal.

The Outcomes We Measure
Nutrition is only meaningful if the body responds. Stool consistency, sustained energy levels, inflammatory markers moving in the right direction. We formulate for outcomes that can be seen, measured, and verified—not benefits that exist only as advertising copy.

Our Commitment
Evidence over trend. Every decision is guided by nutritional science and documented standards.
Measured care. Meals designed to support physiological outcomes, not marketing claims.
Uncompromising integrity. We hold ourselves to the same standard expected in human medicine.
