Certain features of the Services require personal information, such as account, order, billing, shipping, and contact information. If you do not provide information required for a particular feature, we may not be able to provide that feature.

This Policy should be read together with our Website Terms of Use located at https://www.purelygoldenfoods.com/policies/terms-of-service. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, claims arising out of or relating to the Services, including claims relating to this Policy, are subject to the limitations of liability, arbitration, and other applicable terms in the Website Terms of Use. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Our Purchase Terms located at purelygoldenfoods.com/policies/legal-notice govern all orders, subscriptions, payments, refunds, shipping, purchases, and use of PGF products.

What Does this Policy Cover?

This Policy applies to all users of the Services, whether you create an account or purchase our products or services or not. As used in this Policy, "personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to a specific individual.

This Policy does not apply to:

  • Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify and cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.

  • Any of our websites or products and services that have their own separate privacy policies, or any relationships we may have with you outside of the Services.

  • Any ideas, suggestions, or comments you submit to or about the Services, which we may use for any purpose in our sole discretion.

What Personal Information Do We Collect?

We collect the following personal information:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and phone number.

  • Account information, such as login credentials, account preferences, and purchase history.

  • Order and transaction information, such as products purchased, subscription information, order history, shipping details, billing and payment details, and customer-service records. We do not directly collect or store full credit or debit card numbers. Payment information is processed by Shopify or other payment processors.

  • Communications information, such as messages, emails, reviews, survey responses, or other information you send to us.

  • Device, internet, and network activity information, such as IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, search or navigation activity, cart interactions, timestamps, and similar usage data.

  • Approximate location information, such as general location inferred from your IP address.

  • Cookie, analytics, and advertising information, including identifiers and information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, session replay tools, analytics tools, and similar technologies.

  • Other information you choose to provide.

How Do We Collect Your Personal Information?

We collect personal information in three main ways: directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from service providers or business partners that help us operate the Services.

We collect your personal information when:

  • You create an account.

  • You make purchases.

  • You use the Services, including when we use cookies, session tokens, pixels, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies to collect usage, device, and engagement information

  • You correspond with us.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from and about you so we can:

  • Create your account.

  • Enable you to make purchases of our products and services, and use the features available on or through the Services.

  • Email you, or communicate with you via the Services, or respond to your inquiries or comments. We may send you transactional or service-related communications, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices, and customer-service responses.

  • If you provide your email address and opt in to marketing communications, we may also send you promotional emails about our products, offers, and updates. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. We will continue to send transactional and service-related messages even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails.

  • Deliver targeted advertising and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns through third-party advertising platforms, as further described in the "How Do We Use Analytics and Advertising Technologies" section.

  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.

  • Develop and improve our products and services.

How Do We Share Your Personal Information?

We share your personal information as follows:

  • Shopify Inc. Shopify provides the e-commerce platform that powers our online store. Shopify processes personal information to provide hosting, checkout, payment, order-management, fraud-prevention, analytics, and related platform services.

Shopify may process some information on our behalf, and may also process certain information as described in Shopify's own privacy policy and applicable terms. Information processed through Shopify may include contact information, billing and shipping information, order history, payment-related information, device information, browsing activity, cart interactions, and fraud-prevention data. Shopify stores and processes information as described in Shopify’s privacy policy and applicable terms, including through security measures Shopify describes for its platform.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, your payment information may be processed by third-party payment processors. Payment processors may be subject to payment-card security standards, such as PCI-DSS, and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Shopify may store and process information in countries outside your own, including the United States and Canada, as described in Shopify's privacy policy and applicable terms.

To learn how Shopify processes your personal information, you can read Shopify's privacy policy at www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

  • Third-party service providers. In addition to Shopify, we employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting providers, payment processors, and font and content-display providers such as Adobe Fonts. We require service providers to use personal information only for providing services to us, except where another use is permitted by their applicable terms, privacy policies, or law.

  • Analytics and advertising platforms. We also use analytics and advertising platforms from Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads), Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity), and Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel). These platforms may receive personal information and use it for their own purposes in accordance with their privacy policies. These platforms are described in detail in the "How Do We Use Analytics and Advertising Technologies" section.

  • Business transfers. If PGF is purchased, or there is a merger or sale of our assets, or similar transaction, your personal information will be transferred, but it will remain subject to this Policy as in effect before such transfer, unless you consent otherwise.

  • Protection of us and others. We release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our agreements with you; or protect the rights, property, privacy, or safety of PGF, our users, or others.

How Do We Safeguard Your Personal Information?

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to help protect personal information. However, no website, system, or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that personal information will be protected against every unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for protecting your devices against unauthorized access.

How Do We Retain and Delete Your Personal Information?

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as otherwise needed to complete transactions, maintain business records, comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain security, or for other legitimate business purposes. When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, or aggregate it in accordance with our retention practices.

How Can You Manage Your Information?

  • If you have an account, you may review and update certain account information in your account. You may also contact us to request assistance with updating or deleting information we maintain about you. We may retain information where needed for orders, records, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, or other legitimate business purposes.

  • We do not sell personal information. We may allow analytics and advertising partners to collect information through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to help us measure website activity, improve marketing, and show or measure ads. You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie preference tool and through browser or platform controls.

  • Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, our Services do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

  • We and third parties, including Shopify, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and other analytics or advertising providers, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services when you use the Services. You can manage certain cookies and tracking technologies through our cookie preference tool and your browser settings.

How Do We Use Cookies and Other Electronic Technologies?

We and Shopify collect limited device and connection metadata (e.g., IP address, device type, browser and OS version, and timestamps) to authenticate users, prevent fraud, and maintain the security and integrity of the Services. We may also store this information in logs for debugging and performance monitoring.

We and selected third-party partners, including analytics and advertising platforms, may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, measure website activity, analyze performance, and improve marketing effectiveness.

We also use analytics tracking technologies (such as Google Analytics 4), behavioral and session tracking (such as Microsoft Clarity), advertising technologies (such as Google Ads and the Meta Pixel), and other third-party tools and cookies.

How Do We Use Analytics and Advertising Technologies?

We use analytics and advertising technologies, including cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tools, to operate the Services, understand how visitors use our website, measure the effectiveness of our marketing, improve our products and Services, and show or measure ads. These technologies may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, links clicked, shopping-cart interactions, referring URLs, approximate location, and other usage information.

We may use tools provided by Shopify, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and other service providers or advertising partners. Some analytics and advertising partners may process information on our behalf, and some may use information for their own purposes as described in their privacy policies and terms. For example, we may use Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Tag Manager to analyze site usage, measure conversions, support remarketing, and improve marketing effectiveness.

You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie preference tool and through your browser settings. You may also use the advertising and privacy controls offered by Google, Meta, Microsoft, and other platforms. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality, and opting out of advertising cookies does not prevent you from seeing non-personalized ads.

We may use session replay and similar analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the Services, troubleshoot errors, and improve functionality. These tools may record information such as clicks, scrolling, page views, and general interactions with our site.

How Can You Opt-Out?

You can manage non-essential cookies and similar technologies through the cookie preference tool on our website. You may also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Some browsers or extensions may offer opt-out preference signals. Our response to those signals may depend on the settings and technical capabilities of our cookie tools. You may also opt out of certain advertising practices directly through the settings offered by Google, Meta, and other advertising platforms. Opting out of advertising cookies does not delete information already collected and does not prevent you from seeing non-personalized ads.

What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your web browser by websites you visit. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (including pixel tags, web beacons, and local storage) to operate our website, remember your preferences, and understand how our site is used.

We use two types of cookies:

Session cookies are temporary and expire when you close your browser. We use them to maintain your session, preserve shopping cart contents, and support site security.

Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them. We use persistent cookies to remember your preferences, analyze site traffic and usage patterns, and support advertising and remarketing functions.

Both first-party cookies (set by us) and third-party cookies (set by our service providers, such as Google and Microsoft) may be placed on your device when you visit our site. Third parties that set cookies through our site may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website. For information about opting out of advertising cookies, see the "How Do We Use Analytics and Advertising Technologies?" section.

How Can You Manage Cookies?

You can accept, reject, and manage cookies in the cookie preference tool on the website.

You may be able to remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your browser's "help" content. You can control browser cookies through your browser's settings. Some of the Services may not function properly if you disable cookies.

The use of cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies by third-party services, content and ad network providers is subject to their own privacy policies, not ours.

Do We Transfer Your Personal Information to Other Countries?

Some service providers may process personal information in the United States, Canada, or other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from those where you live.

How Do We Protect Children?

The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

How Do We Update Our Policy?

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will post the updated Policy on this page and update the effective date. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as by posting a notice on the Services or sending an email.
